Lances partnership accounts 6 partner organisations in 5 countries: in Italy Upter, leading partner, and Speha Fresiacooperative company; in Austria FBI Centre; in Germany Sozial.Label, a non profit association; in Bulgaria DVV International, leader in lifelong learning in this country; and in Romania AESD, an educational Centre.
Partners are private and non-profit organisations, active in the field of VET, research and adult education, and most of our previous experiences were characterised by:
- The participatory approaches
- The central role of learners
- The need to constantly adapt the training supply to the adult learners' needs.
Active in the field of Adult Education and Lifelong Learning since 1987, Upter is a true People's University on a European model representing a centre of research- experimentation for educational activities in different fields operating at local, national and transnational level. Particularly sensitive to active citizenship issues, it has carried out several activities dealing with civic participation in collaboration with public and private bodies.
Speha Fresia is a non-profit cooperative and since 1983 it has been working in the fields of labour policies, local development and research, and specifically: guidance counselling, services for local development, design of systemic measures in support of disadvantaged groups, social research, continuous vocational training and lifelong learning.
FBI-Centre is an independent research institute and Science Shop accessible to NGOs, grass route groups, citizen groups for knowledge transfer since 1991. The main objective of FBI Centre is to bridge the gap between science and the civil society by making advanced knowledge accessible, understandable and applicable for a broad public, focusing especially on gender issues and marginalised social groups.
Sozial.Label offers a broadly varied assistance services that includes, beside the finance assistance, also concept assistance, a project development and project management and administrative assistance. Sozial.Label is part of the network of social NGO's in Berlin co- operating very closely with each other.
AESD main activities are the implementation of formal and informal lifelong learning courses and the creation of organised system of lifelong consulting, information and training. The main goal is to promote the lifelong learning in society in order to facilitate the development of an active citizenship, social cohesion and employment.
Active since 2000, DVV's mission is to develop local sustainable adult education structures, increase general and vocational educational provision, implement European computer literacy standards, personal and business skills, economic and entrepreneurial competences, promote the integration of socially disadvantaged groups, active citizenship and Lifelong Learning.
